Blues reveal roster for Winter Classic alumni game

Gretzky, Hull, Federko, Pronger, Tkachuk, Oates, 
MacInnis, Turgeon, Brodeur among those committed to play

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Blues announced their roster for the 2017 Bridgestone Winter Classic alumni game on Thursday evening, and it is highlighted by some great former players.

Headlining the team is arguably the greatest player in the game, dubbed 'The Great One,' Wayne Gretzky will highlight a group of 14 forwards, nine defensemen and four goalies.

Gretzky, who had a change of heart after saying his the alumni game at the Heritage Classic between the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets "might" be his last, will be joined by arguably the greatest Blue of them all, Brett Hull.

Of the 27 players on the roster, 12 of them have played in 1,000-plus NHL games and are or will soon be in the NHL Hall of Fame.

The four coaches will consist of Red Berenson, Bobby Plager, Brian Sutter and Garry Unger.

Here is the list of Blues players and their career numbers that will play in the alumni game against the alumni of the Chicago Blackhawks that will take place on Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m. at Busch Stadium.

Forwards:
